Company History

Som Santoso, an Architect, began his career as an entrepreneur with PT Griya Trada, doing architecture and contractor concentrating in residential projects. During this time he found an affinity with one particular room in all of his projects, “the kitchen”, which later became his passion when he pursued the kitchen division within his company in 2003. This kitchen division later spinned off into its own entity, PT Griya Trada Indonesia with the brand Som Santoso Kitchen Solutions.

Today, Som Santoso Kitchen Solutions has multiple showrooms in strategic locations in Jakarta. It has evolved into a renowned kitchen specialist for residential projects, working together and representing world-renowned brands such as Siematic, Ballerina and Aster from Germany and Italy, building state-of-the-art kitchens in Indonesia.

His knowledge and experience, supported by his team, continues to create some of the region’s finest kitchens while always remaining true to the company’s three pillars of thought: Design and Innovation, Extensive Expertise and Holistic Integration.




Company Philosophy

Every kitchen has a story, each with its own unique characteristics. A kitchen is the heart of the house; a place where everything and everyone in a family comes together. It’s where new memories are created, stories are shared and day-to-day moments are celebrated.

Som Santoso Kitchen Solutions was founded on three pillars of thought: Design and Innovation, Extensive Expertise and Holistic Integration. Our design process involves extensive coordination and exploring countless possibilities with the client and the client’s interior designer or architect. With our experience which goes beyond specializing in cabinetry; we are able to seamlessly understand and respect the intricate aspects of architecture and interior details, and knowledge and function of various appliances, electrical and ventilation and how they are all connected. These aspects of conceptual design and knowledge are integrated and assembled on-site to become reality. With over 20 years of experience, we collaborate and represent world renowned kitchen brands and beyond such as Siematic, Ballerina, Aster and Lema.

SieMatic is a German kitchen manufacturer, founded in 1929 and based in Löhne, Germany. SieMatic is a world-renowned kitchen brand, delivering its products to over 60 countries worldwide.

Ballerina-Küchen is a German kitchen and furniture manufacturer based in Rödinghausen, Germany. Ballerina-Küchen exports its products to over 60 countries worldwide and has also included living room furniture and dressing rooms since 2022.

Aster Cucine is a renowned Italian kitchen furniture manufacturer with a rich history spanning several decades. Founded in 1983 in Pesaro, Italy, Aster Cucine combines style, functionality, and sustainability in their kitchen designs, offering a wide range of contemporary and modern kitchen solutions.

Lema is an Italian kitchen manufacturer with roots stretching back to the 1930s, when founder Angelo Meroni opened a workshop in the heart of Brianza, Italy, specializing in the production of artisanal furniture. Across two facilities in Alzate Brianza and Guissano, Lema Mobili is one of the biggest Italian furniture manufacturers in the world.

Tristen William is a US-based furniture brand and the sister company to Som Santoso Kitchen Solutions. Tristen William strives to create products that prioritize quality, functionality, comfort, sustainability and innovation while also embracing creativity and individual expression.
